COST Actions 2026 - call of interest

European Cooperation In Science & Technology (COST)

The aim of this call (managed by the NCP) is to invite ULB researchers to apply as candidates to

  1. to join a of newly funded COST Actions (see joined documents)

OR/AND

  1. to represent Belgium in the Management Committee (MC) of newly funded COST Actions.

Steps for interested researchers

  • Review the newly approved COST Actions and identify those relevant to their research ;

  • Check whether they are listed in the Open Call, which indicates involvement in drafting the proposal ;

  • Identify the Work Packages (WPs) they intend to contribute to (mandatory in the application form) ;

  • Prepare a short CV including current position, contract end date (if applicable), and funding covering the duration of the COST Action ;

  • Complete the COST application form (“application form template”)

  3. Belgium has 2 MC Member seats per action

If several French‑speaking candidates must be selected, the criteria are:

  • Involvement in drafting the proposal

  • Balance between institutions

  • Negotiation between candidates

  • Gender balance

    1. One researcher = one MC only

    1. Please ensure no other MC participation is ongoing

    2. Funding requirement:

Candidates must have research funding covering the duration of the COST Action.
