Description courte : Si vous avez défendu votre doctorat depuis une quinzaine d’années ou beaucoup plus et que vous souhaitez en savoir plus sur les bourses du conseil européen pour la recherche : ERC Advanced Grants, le département recherche de l’ULB vous invite à participer le 12 janvier 2012 à une journée d’information organisée conjointement avec la VUB dans les locaux de la VUB. L’après-midi sera réservée aux personnes préalablement inscrites et qui souhaitent discuter de la forme la plus pertinente à donner à leur projet.

Description complète : Programme 8.45-9.15 Accueil autour d’un café ERC’’s philosophy and its consequences for selecting a topic, planning submission and drafting a proposal 9.20 B2 section: The scientific proposal State-of-the-art and objectives and methodology: How to approach originality, novel, unconventional, creativity, capacity and ambition 10.15 Coffee Break 10.30 B2: continuation The ERC is looking for proposals addressing a scientific challenge leading to a major impact on and a high gain for science. The high risks need to be justified by the high gain and mitigated by an analysis of the feasibility, preliminary data and back-up plans. The project should lead to a major breakthrough in science and contain sufficient novel and unconventional aspects. We will discuss how the selection criterion can be best addressed. 11.30 B1: Principal Investigator CV including Funding ID, 10-year Track Record and how to balance this with your scientific proposal and compete with your colleagues.. 12.30 Lunch Break 13.00 Face to face meeting to discuss best possible personal strategy for obtaining the grant.
