Description courte :	The European Innovation Council (EIC) has been established under the EU Horizon Europe programme. It has a budget of €10.1 billion to support game-changing innovations throughout the lifecycle from early-stage research, to proof of concept, technology transfer, and the financing and scale-up of start-ups and SMEs. All EIC-supported projects get access to coaching, mentoring, partnering, and other EIC Business Acceleration Services. The EIC Work Programme 2024 will be published soon.
Description complète :	EIC Funding opportunities EIC Pathfinder - Supporting research and deep tech projects with a high degree of scientific ambition and risk. With its Pathfinder programme the EIC supports the exploration of bold ideas for radically new technologies. It welcomes the high-risk / high gain and interdisciplinary cutting-edge science collaborations that underpin technological breakthroughs. Pathfinder goes beyond what is already known. Visionary thinking can open up promising avenues towards powerful new technologies. The EIC Pathfinder programme consists of a combination of both open and challenge-driven funding. Open Funding EIC Pathfinder Open provides funding for projects in any field of science or technology, based on high-risk/high-gain science-towards-technology breakthrough interdisciplinary research. The indicative deadline is 7 March 2024. Strategic EIC Pathfinder Challenges EIC Pathfinder funding is also available for specific challenges that are typically steered by an EIC Programme Manager. EIC Pathfinder Challenges for 2024 will be published soon. The indicative deadline is 16 October 2024. More info at https://eic.ec.europa.eu/eic-funding-opportunities/eic-pathfinder_en EIC Transition Supporting maturation and validation of novel ideas from lab to business. A bridge between research and application development. EIC Transition funds innovation activities that go beyond the experimental proof of principle in laboratory to support both: • the maturation and validation of your novel technology in the lab and in relevant application environments • the development of a business case and (business) model towards the innovation’s future commercialisation. There are ERC Transition Open funding & Strategic EIC Transition Challenges. EIC Transition Open is an open funding scheme for projects in any field of science, technology or application as well as challenge-driven funding on specific strategic fields. It is designed to enable support for any technologies and innovations that cut across different scientific, technological, sectoral and application fields or represent novel combinations. Applications are restricted to results generated by the following eligible projects: • EIC Pathfinder projects (including projects funded under EIC pilot Pathfinder, Horizon 2020 FET-Open, FET-Proactive) and FET Flagships calls (including ERANET calls under the FET Work Programme). • European Research Council Proof of Concept projects. • European Defence Fund (EDF), including the Preparatory Action on Defence Research, research. projects, but only for proposals which are exclusively focused on civil applications (including dual use).
