The Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO) is looking for (inter)national experts in different scientific fields to strengthen his review panels.

New Scientific Committees - from 1/1/2010 In February 2007 a process was started to reform the structure of the scientific committees of the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO). A wide consensus within the scientific community in Flanders was of the upmost importance to make this reorganization a success. Almost 2.000 responses from an extensive survey of the Flemish research community were processed by different expert panels and led to the new committee structure. From 1 January 2010 (start date of the new committees), the FWO will have 29 specialized committees and 1 interdisciplinary committee. This new committee structure will ensure that all forms of fundamental scientific research will continue to have their place within the FWO. On the following web pages, the scopes of each committee are given to help you decide which committee is most appropriate to evaluate your research. A second set of pages gives an overview of the vacant profiles of each committee to aid candidate committee members in their application.

Critères d’admission/attribution :

You belong to the top 40% of your discipline
You are a general expert in one of the following fields:

* Biological Sciences
* Exact and applied Sciences
* Humanities
* Social Sciences
* Medical Sciences

You are appointed at a university or a scientific institution

Financement :
