Description courte : What is according to you the trickiest challenge for Brussels ? Mobility, pollution or rather sustainable urban planning? As a city representative, business actor as well as a researcher or non-profit actor, you are invited to reflect on the future of Brussels within the new JPI Urban Europe project call “Making Cities Work”.
Description complète : The consortium of funding agencies of the JPI URBAN EUROPE program (Austria, Belgium, Finland, Norway and Sweden) will launch in October the joint call for proposals untitled “Making Cities Work”. This call will focus on the specific needs of European cities or municipalities. We want cities themselves to participate in the co-creation process, together with industrial partners, research organizations and public authorities. During the preparation and the realization of the project, cities will have to act as proactive “innovation inspirators”. The call will be launched October 15, 2017 and will be closed February 15, 2018. The projects selected during the evaluation procedure can start in the summer of 2018. The call aims for innovation projects, which implement knowledge and work towards solutions for concrete urban challenges. Challenges that are proposed by cities in the participating countries so far, are: - Re-thinking urban mobility: From traffic congestion to alternative urban mobility solutions - Implementing the Smart City: From pilot projects within sectors and neighbourhoods to cross-sectoral services for citizens and business - Creating the city together: Closing the gap between citizens, enterprises and strategies - Greening the construction industry: Reducing emissions from construction sites This infosession will be held on Octobre 9, 2017 12:00 - 14:00 in Innoviris office Chaussée de Charleroi 110 1060 Bruxelles
