Description courte : This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). Since 2004, SHARE has aimed to provide longitudinal comparative microdata for studying the multiple challenges related to population ageing in Europe. Currently, nine waves of data (including two retrospective surveys) and two special COVID-waves have been collected and made available to researchers free of charge, and the tenth wave of data is being collected.
Description complète : This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). Since 2004, SHARE has aimed to provide longitudinal comparative microdata for studying the multiple challenges related to population ageing in Europe. Currently, nine waves of data (including two retrospective surveys) and two special COVID-waves have been collected and made available to researchers free of charge, and the tenth wave of data is being collected.
We would like to invite you to the upcoming Belgian SHARE Users Workshop, scheduled to take place on Friday 29 November in Brussels (Boulevard du Jardin Botanique 50 / Kruidtuinlaan 50, Finance Tower, room Juntos). This event aims to bring together researchers, policy makers and practitioners in Belgium who are using SHARE data for their research, and/or are interested in the topics covered in SHARE, to discuss the latest findings in the field of ageing. 
We invite researchers in Belgium who work with SHARE data to submit their abstracts. We welcome submissions on various topics related to ageing, including but not limited to the following:
·        Employment and retirement
·        Health inequalities
·        Health care and long-term care
·        Informal care
·        Well-being and social networks
Please submit your abstract (max. 300 words, in English) via e-mail to daniela.skugor@uantwerpen.be by 16 October. Please include the title of your presentation, the name(s) of the author(s) and their affiliation(s), and indicate who will be the presenter, in case of multiple authors. Authors will receive a notification of acceptance by 31 October.
Registrations are open for all who wish to attend the workshop. Please register free of charge by 21 November by sending an e-mail to the aforementioned e-mail address. All information, including a preliminary program can be found in the attached invitation.
