|Abstract : The multigrid method is an iterative method that solves a linear system of equations by using a hierarchy of progressively smaller systems. An aggregation-based multigrid method builds this hierarchy by grouping unknowns into aggregates. When one applies the automatic aggregation procedure to problems arising from the discretization of the Poisson equation, it is possible to build the aggregates while taking into account a quality indicator directly connected to the global convergence of the multigrid method. The work aims at developing the same type of approach for linear systems arising from the discretization of the linear elasticity equations.
