Description complète: Horizon 2020 Common Support Centre has launched a new service to support ongoing FP7 and H2020 projects – Common Exploitation Booster. It should help the researchers with exploitation of their R&I results.

Its pilot initiative provides four types of services:

- Analysis of Exploitation Risks (AER) will support the partners to identify risks and potential obstacles to the future exploitation of the project’s results within and outside the consortium
- Exploitation Strategy Seminar (ESS) will provide a platform to discuss results and design a roadmap toward exploitation
- Business Plan Development (BPD) will include a virtual or face-to-face collaborative workshop, and entails support for developing a complete business plan
- Brokerage and Pitching Event(BPE) provides assistance with the design and preparation for an event that brings together project partners and other relevant actors.

What is Exploitation for?
It helps partners in developing, creating and marketing a product or a process,in creating and providing a new service, in setting new standards, or in setting-up new training courses or developing new curricula.

How can Common Exploitation Booster help?
It will help to speed up the journey towards creating an impact providing support to remove bottlenecks. These may be internal obstacles, such as diverging expectations or intentions between project partners, or external obstacles, such as market evolution, the development of competing technologies, lack of acceptance by society, difficulties in attracting investment, etc.

Basic principles
- The consultancy services are paid from the EC Horizon 2020 Common Support Centre budget. The projects cover their own logistical expenses.
- The services are implemented by external consultants under confidentiality agreement.
- The services are available for all ongoing projects under any area of FP7 or H2020.
- Common Exploitation Booster provides four types of services, suited for projects and results in different phases of maturity.
- A project consortium can benefit from the Common Exploitation Booster only once and from one type of service.
- The services are requested by the EC project officer and confirmed with the project coordinator before starting the service.
