Eligibilité : Le candidat à une bourse FRIA doit avoir obtenu son dernier diplôme de master ou master complémentaire depuis maximum 7 ans (depuis au maximum la durée de la spécialisation pour les candidats médecins en cours de spécialisation médicale ou les candidats médecins vétérinaires en cours de spécialisation vétérinaire), pour autant que ce délai soit compris dans l’année académique en cours (01/10/2017 – 30/09/2018). Ajout d’un an par accouchement ou adoption La bourse FRIA est accessible aux titulaires des grades suivants : - 1° d’un grade académique de master en 120 crédits au moins délivré par un établissement d’enseignement supérieur de la Communauté française de Belgique ; - 2° d’un grade académique de master en 120 crédits au moins délivré par un établissement d’enseignement supérieur de la Communauté flamande, de la Communauté germanophone ou de l’Ecole Royale Militaire ; - 3° d’un autre grade académique visé à l’article 115 du décret du 7 novembre 2013 de la Communauté française de Belgique définissant le paysage de l’enseignement supérieur et l’organisation académique des études. Pour le candidat titulaire d’un des grades académiques visé à l’alinéa 1er, 1° et 2°, une attestation de réussite ou une copie du diplôme doit être jointe à l’acte de candidature au plus tard pour le 30 septembre de l’année d’introduction de la demande. Pour le candidat titulaire d’un grade académique visé à l’alinéa 1er, 3°, une attestation d’accès au doctorat ou une attestation d’inscription au doctorat, émanant de l’institution universitaire de la Communauté française de Belgique où seront poursuivies les études conduisant au doctorat, ainsi qu’une attestation de réussite ou une copie du/des diplômes sur le(s)quel(s) elle se base, doivent être jointes à l’acte de candidature au plus tard pour le 30 septembre de l’année d’introduction de la demande ! Annexes attendues pour les 1res bourses (1re et 2e année)Au plus tard le dimanche 30 septembre: - Attestation de réussite ou copie du diplôme de master et/ou attestation d’accès au doctorat ou d’inscription au doctorat émanant de l’institution universitaire de la Communauté française de Belgique où seront poursuivies les études conduisant au doctorat et/ou avis du Comité de thèse (article 115 décret Paysage – article 4 du règlement). - Avis des referees et referees industriels (qui seront contactés par le FRIA). - Le classement établi par la faculté ayant délivré le diplôme de master pris en compte dans l’éligibilité est un élément entrant en ligne de compte pour l’évaluation. Il est impératif que le candidat fasse compléter le document ad hoc. Après la date de validation des dossiers, le candidat sera invité par e-mail à charger ce document sur une page dédiée. - Pour les médecins et médecins vétérinaires en cours de spécialisation : attestation d’inscription à ladite spécialisation. Annexe attendue pour les 2èmes bourses: - Avis du Comité d'accompagnement (Comité de thèse) à transmettre avant le 31 octobre 2018. ! ELIGIBILITY Criteria for the candidate: - Applicants must hold a Master/complementary Master degree obtained from Maximum 7 years (for no more than the duration of the specialisation for doctors and veterinarian applicants who have been undertaking a medical or veterinary specialty training) on the condition that this period includes the ongoing academic year (01/10/2017 – 30/09/2018).One-year extension per childbirth or adoption FRIA Grants are accessible to holders of one of the following degrees -1° A master degree for a value of at least 120 credits awarded by a Higher Education Institution within the French-speaking Community of Belgium; 4/12 FRS-FNRS_REGL_FRIA_EN_CA20180621_2018.07.11_5_Final -2° A master degree for a value of at least 120 credits awarded by a Higher Education Institution within the Dutch-speaking Community, German-speaking Community or from the Royal Military Academy. -3° Any degree as referred to in Article 115 of the Decree of 7 November 2013 of the French-speaking Community of Belgium that defines the landscape of Higher Education and the academic studies organisation. Applicants who hold a degree as referred to in paragraph 1, 1° and 2° are required to provide a certificate of achievement or a copy of the diploma. The document must be enclosed in the application file by 30th September of the year the application is submitted at the latest. Applicants who hold a degree as referred to in paragraph 1, 3° are required to provide a registration document or a certificate that enables the admission to doctoral programmes issued by the university of the French-speaking community of Belgium where the studies will be carried out, along with a certificate of achievement or a copy of the degree concerned. Both documents must be enclosed in the application file by 30th September of the year the application is submitted at the latest.-1° A master degree for a value of at least 120 ! Contact for the Certificates: Ms Carine Faniel :carine.faniel@ulb.ac.be WARNING !!!The holders of a NON BELGIAN Diploma are required to provide a registration document or a certificate that enables the admission to doctoral programmes issued by the university where the studies will be carried out along with a certificate of achievement or a copy of the degree concerned. Both documents must be enclosed in the application file by 30th September of the year the application is submitted at the latest. For 1st Grant applicants (1st Year and 2nd Year) :at the latest on Sunday 30 September following documents must be enclosed in the application : - Certificate of achievement or a copy of the Master diploma and/or registration document or certificate issued by the university of the French-speaking community of Belgium enabling the admission to doctoral programmes and/or acknowledgment from the Supervisory Panel (Thesis Advisory Committee) (article 115 from the decree “Paysage”, see article 4 of the Regulations). - Reference letters from referees and experts from the industry sector. They will be contacted by the FRIA. - The applicant must have the ad hoc document provided for academic marks and ranking completed by the faculty awarding the master degree which is taken into account for the eligibility. This document will be considered for the evaluation. Following the validation deadline, the applicant will receive an email with instructions to upload the document on a dedicated page. - For Doctors and Veterinarian applicants undertaking a specialty training: a registration document concerning the specialty in question. Concerning 2nd Grant applicants: A support letter from the relevant Supervisory Panel (Supervisory Committee) must be annexed to the submission file at the time of submission or transmitted to the FNRS at the latest on 31 October 2018.
